I have seen both. One ran off the digital video card of the pc (think the biggest HDTV Plasma Monitor you have ever seen). From the video card, there was a "Y" cable splitter where one cable went to the PC's Monitor on the desk and the other went to this massive overhead digital monitor. It was HUGE with HDTV inputs too! So, everything that was on the PC's Monitor was on the overhead. 2 years ago this thing was in the $20K range. This was in a call center where the statistics were displayed for everyone to see.
The other was a setup where they connected an overhead video projector onto a wall (think trade show). It was run from the video out of the guy's portable PC. Same idea - everything on the PC was on the Wall. The limitation of that setup was the room had to be dimmed. I understand there are other video projectors that have enough output to be shown in fully lit rooms. It had extremely good resolution... I was pleasantly surprised with the clarity. We would like to incorporate a large monitor to provide this form of visibility. Does anyone have any insight on what the largest practical monitor is and/or any experience with using video projectors with actual data instead of power point presentations that no-one has to read. Also, we visualized one of the 48" plasma screen HDTV's that surely should be better than a regular tv (albeit not the resolution like a monitor). The client is prepared to spend some $ on this. Thanks in advance. P.S. IIRC Apple had a split monitor situation with the mouse weirdly jumping from one monitor to another within a wide application. Any clue about this for MV. Thanks. ------- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/ [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/gif which had a name of graycol.gif] [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/gif which had a name of ecblank.gif] [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/gif which had a name of pic16013.gif] ------- u2-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
