Bill,

Try sselecting and saving the file off to a list, then edit the list and
delete all the good ids. File it, retrieve it and then DELETE FIELNAME.
If that doesn't work out, you could write a prog to read every record in
turn, and check the id for CHAR(251) to CHAR(255). Delete those that run
foul of your checking.

I looked at the file using EditPlus.  Of course, there are many special
characters that appear.

Suggestions would be appreciated.
