i agree, why make it hard for the developer when we are trying to promote their product.
Open up all information sources so we can do as much as possible. Good product, bad support
One of the reason i like VB is that there is so much info out there and its so easy to get at

All of the manuals are available, and I have, and am pouring through them, but there seems to be a huge amount of code examples that are locked down. And that is only for the one thing I have looked up on their site (ODBC). It's really frustrating when you are stuck on something, and you see a title to a document that answers all your questions, but can't get at it. And yes, I have read all the freely availble info on ODBC, which got me started in the right direction, but didn't get me all the way.
Personally, I find the best way of learning something is to see how it should be done. I realise these lists are a great way to finding out a lot of that, but I would rather be able to do as much as I can, before asking you guys to take your time to help me.

I'm not sure what docs you are referring to , but ALL of the documentation for UD and UV is available either online or via pdf download on IBMs website. I agree that the knowledgebase should be open, but it doesn't hold tech docs, it only holds support call information and it's generally not as useful as the U2 and MV forums/lists.
If there's some specific documentation that you don't have, let me know
and I'll be glad to send you the link.
