I missed the original message, but I assume you are talking about the
accounting package that will be released as part of office.  The intention
is for small company's 2-10 employees.  I think it is more of a competition
to products like Quicken and MYOB than it would be to most pick based
products.

However whilst this is a shrink wrapped package, U2 ISVs should consider
their marketing approach as I am sure Microsoft will eventually fill the gap
between Great Plains and Office Accounting.  IF companies provide niche
facilities like a Doctor practice or provide value add services such as
personal support or other features and facilities, then one can compete
successfully with Microsoft.
