We use OpenLink ODBC drivers to get Universe 10.1.14 to talk to MS SQL Server 2000

BCI is supposed to work for this, but it really depends on the precise combination of operating system and ODBC data source. We were never able to talk to Sybase from UniData running on HP-UX, but hopefully you'll have better luck.
