Consider checking that the firmware in the JetDirect is the latest.  

HP has a robust utility to handle this.

UniVerse 10.1.7 on AIX 5.2.0 on eServer P5.

When we print very large jobs, either to HP laser printers with a
JetDirect card, or to label printers, on a JetDirect print server, the job
prints fine, then starts over. I've been thinking it might be a buffer
overflow, but can't track it down.

Have any of you seen this? It's like the old dot matrix printers that were
running serial without a large enough buffer to work right.
