Not for nothing but what is a Universe Database Dump? If it's what I think it is, then I would advise to not continue to use methods or nomenclature not normal to the Universe environment.
If it's a unix-level backup, then make sure you can 'back-door' the connections. If it's a T-DUMP onto a tape or virtual tape file, then it should be pretty straight forward. If this is the same Anita that's new to MV, here's another case for creating "MV for Newbies" to get the new guys off to a good start instead of hacking away at their issues with possibly unrelated (and ineffecient) techniques. While many of us old-timers brought so few prior techniques to the plate when we first started in MV, the new guys are bringing not only more techniques, but specifically different techniques to their plates. While many of these techniques may work or can be used, they may not be the best technique in the MV environment. My 2 cents.
