But, review the different posts with some eye to developing your own effecient habits. The UV code that you're now managing will most likely be written in one 'style' (MV has no standards) and you may see many styles returned for virtually any simple request. No one style prevails although IMHO, some styles are more burdensome than others. You're at the threshold of MV programming that many of us were at 10-20 or even 30 years ago. There are perpetuated old bad habits, old good habits, new bad habits and new good habits. They all compile. Don't hesitate to ask any question but be prepared to weed out those that are of different styles.
