That's no problem, unless the MUMPS is the lowest denomenator in the equation. What I mean by that is if MUMPS is something that is overly outdated and is in need of replacement, then I guess security discussions are pointless and complaing about CISP/PCI is just beating a dead horse. Having said that, telnetting over OpenVPN is a solid solution that would satisfy the telnet security problem and it will compile and run on Solaris/Linux/Windows/etc. There _is_ a free and widely supported solution available to keep what you have and remain PCI compliant. > >>I'm a huge proponent of centrally managed software and love using > Accuterm's GUI. > > Just did my first GUI application using AccuTerm's GUI, I really like > it. It is a first step to going fully GUI. I've been happy with the limited applications I've built and deployed so far. If you want more from the core and you don't want to be tied to Accuterm then consider a SOAP or .NET framework rebuild if the entire application is on it's way to /dev/null. Most of the business rules will stay in UV since you can reuse existing code to build the calls.
