You need UV/Net. There are two solutions. 1. Wherever you want to run the application, set up VOC entries to point to the remote part files, using hostname!pathname syntax in the DATA.FILE (field #2) entry. This will be picked up by UV/Net software and afford remote access to the part files. Then build a (local) Distributed File based on the part file records in VOC as usual.
2. Set up remote accounts in UV.ACCOUNT, again using the hostname!pathname syntax. Wherever you want to run the application, set up regular Q-pointers to the files in the remote accounts.
