Permissions?? Do you have access to the uci.config file?
Terminal Server setup so that the UD development kit was installed for the
other user and not yours?

Try creating an empty text file on the desktop called testconnection.udl.
Then run it. You should get a "Data Link Properties" box. Make sure the
provider is "UniOLEDB Provider" (or whatever it's called now). In the
connection tab set the Data Source to the item in the uci.config file you
wish to use (this is case-sensitive). Location can be either a full path or
an account defined in ud.account.

Use a specific user and enter the user name. Uncheck Blank password and then
enter the correct password. You should then be able to "Test Connection".
When you OK it should update the testconnection.udl file. Open with notepad
to get the connection string.

Mine's:
[oledb]
; Everything after this line is an OLE DB initstring
Provider=IBM.UniOLEDB.1;Persist Security Info=False;User ID=calfke;Data
Source=UDODBC;Location=d:\unidata\udodbc

Well, no. If this other person RDPs into the box, authenticates into SQL
Server, and runs the query, purportedly it works. If I RDP into the box,
authenticate into SQL Server and run the exact same query against that
linked server, it fails with the message as shown earlier.
