Forum postings by T24 developers (Globus/Temenos) seem to indicate that they have no idea that they're using a DBMS in the Pick family. I think banks tend to rely on Temenos for all support. How many amateur fingers do you really want in _your_ bank's software? This is a good (??) example of the mantra "we don't sell a database, we sell an application". I think that bit of wisdom lacks foresight as it makes people aware of their application but oblivious to the database, thus creating the industry in which we all now struggle.
The jBase forum expanded some years ago to include T24 users, but the "jBase" forum got so bogged-down with application-oriented questions that in December the T24 people were asked to move to an app-specific forum so that the jBase group could focus on the DBMS and BASIC. It was a long-term mistake which was thankfully corrected. Why no ads? T24 is very popular outside of the USA. I don't know if there is a single bank in the USA running it. Get a newspaper from UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Malaysia and you might see some ads.
