Was the file open to a UniVerse session! Or we're you EXECUTING the RESIZE from a process that had the file open? The latter can cause issues -close the file first. If it's AIX and you are running multiple UniVerse shells from crown tab as foreground tasks (I.e. not as phantoms or by using executive) at the same time it could be relevant too.
