Hi, We use ImageMagick (http://www.imagemagick.org/) ; It provides OS command line to read / write picture properties ; and many other tools for image manipulation. Check "identify -verbose picturefilename" then parse what you need ; or use "escapes" (http://www.imagemagick.org/script/escape.php) to pick elements.
