Investigate using a different channel ... I mentioned it recently but try SETPTR 1,... followed by SORT ... LPTR 1 That way, you don't touch whatever's on the user's default channel 0, and can muck about as much as you like without (in all likelihood) trampling over the settings for something else. I use that as a matter of course when I don't want to accidentally mess up something I don't know about.
