I've noticed that this has changed in UD 6 with the TEMP variable. (see the
AV thread wrt SB+).

There are a couple of keys in the registry that now seem to override the
system TEMP setting, perhaps you are having a similar problem with the path.

Check

Hkey_current_user\environment
and
Hkey_Users\default\environment

Perhaps one of them has a path that is overriding your system environment
variable.
