Heather, Thanks for your response. I have actually overcome the problem this morning by upgrading Firefox to version 3.5, and ubiquity 0.5 then installed without a hitch.
For the record though, this was a clean install, not an upgrade over 0.1. I didn't see any error messages, and never got as far as being able to start Ubiquity using Ctrl+Space. Having upgraded Firefox it all seems to be working fine, and I'm not now in a position to recreate the error, so I'm afraid can't offer much debugging info for others. Thanks for your help.
