Hi Dante .... Haven't managed to catch up with the rest of last night's meeting yet. Can't seem to find the IRC log on the Ubuntu irclogs page ... Reflecting on what was said, I really think we need to go for the idea that there is an alternative. I understand why we have to avoid the 'W' word; maybe something along the lines: "Life could be better - before you upgrade your computer, look at www.ubuntu.com - you won't regret it!"
That's ten seconds. My idea for the visual component is 'Freedom' - an aerial take flying over open countryside with hills and trees (free as a bird). The music behind the voiceover based on the Ubuntu startup theme but extended. And of course, the www.ubuntu.com URL on-screen for the second half of the ad. Won't be at tonight's meeting; bit late for me. Catch up with it tomorrow.
