You understood correctly.. I shall start from begining
I have one HDD partioned into two halfs: 1st for OS (small one), 2nd for movies, fotos and so on (archive - big one). O think a lot of people make such partitions. Of course I use 2nd partition as a default directory for dc++ or torrent soft (they download to d:/Downloads), because 2nd partition is much more bigger. So I have one partition with Ubuntu 8.041, and other with stuff in NTFS (cause I used WinXP before and I didnt want to format all my files) When I start Ubuntu 2nd partinion dont automount. I must click on it and its mounts only after that, but if I make torrent soft or dc++ soft to start automaticaly on startup they dont work, because they dont see 2nd partition.... they see it only if I click on it... If I use "System<Preferences<Sesions" and manualy make 2nd partition to mount on start up, it dont work... I as read in google, I must change my /etc/fstab file... maybe it is very easy.. but I think I lot of people wont be able to do what.... In my opinion it would be great if all tipes of partitions would automount on start up by default, and if someone dont like it, there must be a funkcion to disable it. -- AutoMount https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
