I did an update last night and I still have the same problem. I have this message: (EE)it fail to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules//nvidia_drv.so
normally I expect / at the end not //. I found in system>administration>NVIDIA X Server Settings I launch it, and I have a message saying: You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X server. I did this: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo nvidia-xconfig [sudo] password for zied: sudo: nvidia-xconfig: command not found [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo bash [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# nvidia-xconfig the program 'nvidia-xconfig' can be found in this packages : * nvidia-glx-177 * nvidia-glx-new-envy * nvidia-glx-173 * nvidia-glx-envy * nvidia-xconfig * nvidia-glx-96 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# apt-get install nvidia-xconfig [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# nvidia-xconfig the package nvidia-glx-71 was uninstalled and nvidia-xconfig was installed. I did a reboot but the problem still here. I did anothe update few minutes ago and just the first message is now: (EE) Problem parsing the config file. -- Ubuntu 8.04 beta: Video - my ATI video card is handled poorly: blank screen (monitor switches off) in text mode console, restricted drivers manager not offers proprietary drivers. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217187 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
