I checked what I have in xorg.conf on my own system (Intrepid, clean
install):
Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Configured Monitor"

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Device "Configured Video Device"
EndSection
No input sections, and usb mice work fine...
