Just to give more information, this bug is still present in Intrepid and people started to complain again about it [ at bug #204705 ]. It seens [ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-pack- gnome-pt/+bug/204705/comments/6 ] that a temporary solution would be to delete the line “X-Ubuntu-Gettext-Domain=gnome-terminal” in file /usr/share/applications/gnome-terminal.desktop . Maybe this information can help you to find the real cause for this bug.
