I know this is listed as a duplicate, but I think my case is SLI related.  Xorg 
sees two GPU's and doesn't recognize two GPU's.
I'd post my Xorg.conf but it was empty anyway.  I ended up editing my xorg.conf 
and adding this:

Section "Device"
 Identifier "Configured Video Device"
 Busid "PCI:1:0:0"
 Driver "nvidia"
    EndSection

That's all assuming that is the correct Busid.

This fixed my problem entirely.  X started right up and now everything
works fine.
