I have been communicating with the developer of this package regarding the time frame for integration of LP translations for launcher into Jaunty. This work will occur this week, in time for Jaunty inclusion.
Please note: Public/LP translations for the launcher were started initially by simply uploading the pot file to LP. No po files were uploaded, yet po files do exist for a large number of languages. This means there is now no structured means of reviewing of LP translations, which unfortunately means we have no idea what LP done translations actually are. But we do have the existing po files that, while possibly imperfect, were done initially by professional translators, and thus they have a presumed high level of quality. Therefore, I will merge current LP translations into the existing po files in a manner that gives priority to existing translations this time around. Unfortunately, any errors that may exist in existing translations will continue to exist for the time being. However, the plan for using Ubuntu Translators group to oversee this and other UNR packages is forming and will be implemented soon, thus providing a necessary degree of quality control for LP translations down the road and opening up translations to the community. So, if the pending merge results in your particular translations not showing up in Jaunty, please be patient and use the soon-to-come structured translation approach to suggest your translations again.
