A little more info:
After suspend, the laptop wakes up, but is hung. dmesg.log is from after
following the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend instructions.

The system wont hibernate. I tried running the subsystem tests listed on the
URL you provided. The system hangs after the following:
# echo devices > /sys/power/pm_test
# echo platform > /sys/power/disk
# echo disk > /sys/power/state

I also noticed that boot/shutdown works fine on AC but on battery power
boot/shutdown hangs unless you hold down a key on the keyboard.
