I'm attaching the "60-persistent-storage.rules" files that solves the problem on my box. It got renamed to "60-persistent-storage.rules.dkpg.something" after the 8.10 to 9.04 upgrade but now all is fine again. Placing it into /etc/udev/rules.d/ did the trick for my Sony Ericsson C902.
