I just tested the trackball directly connected rather than through my
KVM and it works, so the issue has something to do with the KVM (a
StarTech SV411 4-port PS/2 KVM) rather than the trackball, or perhaps
the combinations of the KVM with the trackball.

PS, If you still want lsusb output I can do that too, but that would
show mouse info, not KVM.
