It happened in that particular package with that version of Ubuntu.

I do many projects - I went back to an earlier version of Ubuntu and
installed inkscape - I think the bug was with a 64bit version of Ubuntu.

It was such an odd bug that I thought I'd tell you guys about it.

If it works now - if Inkscape traces a line drawing - even ones with lots of
black - it's been fixed.

You'll have to see the original error report to see what I was running.
Memory says that it was a 64 bit version - and probably testing or unstable
- I like to test things :-)
