This is still happening with the RC - I just downloaded the ISO and am
running from the CD.

On tty consoles, one sees frequent 'cardbus cards are not supported' messages.

Basically the system is not really useable, this is extremely serious.

There's no such problem running Debian lenny on this system (it's a dual
boot setup).
