I'm not sure whether the problem is the same but the message is: "Install Problem! The configuration defaults for GNOME Power Manager have not been installed correctly. PLease contact your computer administrator".
I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10. I got the black screen, entered in recovery mode, used dpkg and it worked perfect for 2 weeks. Now I cannot login anymore. When I ignore the G-P-M install problem message and try to log in, my desktop pc tries to start up the gnome desktop but after some time returns with the message above. I can only enter via recovery mode and use command line now Someone pls help, my pc has become unusable (even more for my wife ;-). -- package gnome-power-manager 2.22.1-1ubuntu4.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
