unit1.pas:664 you'll see the change of adding the check
   if presetname <> '' then

this clears the original error (if added in both places as in the debdiff) on 
i386 and running gdb winff on amd64. 
this may well not fix the core problem though as i now have the errors 
attached, the problem in gtk2wsstdctrls.pp:513 is causing the exception, giving 
the warning dialog, the invalid_free is causing the actual crash.
