Timmo, The applet has been replaced by the menu found under the 'Me Menu'. The 'Me Menu' is the menu with your username in the top right corner. You will find 'Ubuntu One' right under 'Broadcast Accounts..' You will find that menu has a Devices, Account, Services tabs.
