To be honest I'm not quite convinced about this. We already have u-m
popping up after a couple of days, which will also show a newly avaiable
release. We certainly do not need to advocate a release that quickly?
Also, this will introduce a wakeup, program execution, and a network
operation every 10 minutes, which is veeery expensive for checking for
something that will just happen twice a year and has no urgency at all?
Wouldn't it be enough to check this only once, a couple of minutes after
startup?
