Just a wakeup every 10m, the python-apt thing that does the network io
is only executed every 48h (I should have made this clearer in the
comment/source-code).

And the same policy applies as for a normal update-manager/do-release-
upgrade check. On a LTS we only show the next LTS by default.

About the advantage over u-m … well, the design team made the design :)
If it needs further discussion we can do this at the next UDS, but it
will mean the next LTS upgrade can not benefit from it (as a backup we
can embedd the webkit into u-m directly, thats a trivial change).
