My Apologies, in retrospect I have a completely unrelated problem - my
LCD was connected via one of the DVI connectors on my graphics card (I
am trying to install ubuntu for the first time here) and I got

a) Good
b) Good

Then nothing more, so presumably c) and d) should have followed.

I found a DVI to VGA converter thing and used that to plug my monitor in
and can now see c) and d) and have clicked on the install button.

Sorry for the confusion.
