ughhhh, it's weekend. so /dev/brain doesn't work as expected. after some more thoughts i was able to remember what was going on back when the problem occured.
so here is what i did: - start kde keep (don't know the version) on a kubuntu 6.10 machine to create a backup on the 250 GB fat32 HD. no user/system configurations got backuped, only user data (documents, music, etc.). that worked well ,no exception/crach where thrown. - moved the HD to the new kubuntu 7.04 machine to restore the data. opened up kde keep version 0.4.0 and tried to restore the backup from the 250 GB fat32 HD -> crash. hope this helps to move in the right direction. thanks again and have a nice weekend -- rdiffbackup (through keep) crashed during restore https://launchpad.net/bugs/90732 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
