@ODDie: Thanks for confirming that not using at-spi also solves the problem on your installation. By the way: you do not have to remove at- spi from your system; simply turn it off in the Assistive Technology control panel.
Concerning the left click preceeding the synthetic right click: mousetweaks has been implemented that way because there does not seem a good way to block the left click when performing the synthetic right click.
