@Francesco: thx for the advice. And to the unavoidable left click: it makes synthetic right click quite useless, I mean - consider opening link in new tab from popup menu on web browser, or worse: get properties of some big file, which you don't want to open - just get popup menu from file browser - it opens anyway. Have you considered achieving this with xdotool for example? (http://www.semicomplete.com/projects/xdotool/). Sure mousetweeks will then dependend on this package, but this will give us way more flexibility (and from what I know, xdotool is in Ubuntu repos). I found xdotool very usefull in tablet-pc, as I can trigger simple command (say: "xdotool click 3" for right-mouse-button) and bind it to any key on keyboard on soft-key on tablet-pc. And it doesn't "depends" on left-mouse-click in any way. What do you think about that?
