I'd like to add some suggestions to the list in comment 425:

Esc
Ctrl R
Ctrl Z
Ctrl X
Ctrk C
Ctrl V
Ctrl B
Ctrl N
Ctrl P
Ctrl E (this was a jump to search on the nav-bar, then Panorama, but was
recently unmapped)
Ctrl+shift+E
Ctrl+shift+R
Ctrl+shift+J
Ctrl+A
Ctrl+S
Ctrl+F
Ctrl+Shift+D
Ctrl+home
Ctrl+end
Ctrl+shift+home
Ctrl+shift+end
Alt+[left/right arrow]
Tab/Shift+Tab
Ctrl+Shift+V
Ctrl+Shift+S

Those are all commonly used in most productivity applications in windows
and I'd go out on a limb and say that users who use keyboard shortcuts
will expect similar behaviour from this shortcuts in different
applications, not just browsers. Those are all one I use daily. I may
have forgotten some. All of these have Mac equivalents if I'm not
mistaken.

The tab key alone would be a life saver for escaping flash apps! Tab
should get you off of a flash element eventually, but currently will
only get stuck jumping around elements in the flash app, which I would
call inconsistent UI behaviour.
