Not only that, but for proposed API to be successfull (even though it is "bass ackwards" to begin with) all browser vendors (Opera, Microsoft, Google, Mozilla) have to sit together with plugin vendors and work on specification. I don't see that happening in any foreseeable future. It means that this bug will never be resolved from an end user point of view. It won't make it into IE9, Opera 11, Firefox 4 and whatever is the latest version of Chrome. (In reply to comment #438) > It's a priority already... It is time for this issue to get the attention of wider audience, and because you are treating end users "as if they are this dumb", I am now personally going to take care of that either by contacting some IT journalists that I know, or by writing an article myself.
