@Alan Pope: Fair enough. But this bug was not reported yesterday. It was
reported almost two years ago. My expectations and priorities are
obviously different. Ubuntu One is *useless* to anyone who uses at least
one computer behind a proxy. This has been the case for the last two
years. If all the energies of discussing this in circles in 101 posts
here had been directed to just fixing the darn bug, everyone would be
better off and happier. Now it's "wishlist", which means "nice to have
in the future sometime". I just think it's a poor show. Important bugs
like this which never get attention is a major point of failure of
FOSS/Ubuntu/GNU/Linux. Would other commercial operating systems ship
when a major component is unusable behind a proxy for two years?
