Hi

I keyboarded a Ctrl+C, when the screen stayed on the Opera error
messages, for a very, very long time

Thought to interrupt the process, & give it a fresh start ..
But the Opera install hangs every time I try to give it a chance to
install completely, at exactly the same point !

The 3 apps. ( Update Manager, Synaptic Package Manager, and Ubuntu
Software Centre ) do not work
They all advize me to run " sudo dpkg --configure -a " ( to clean up the
cache ? )
When I do that, I again get the Opera error messages I posted originally
- then nothing: the process hangs

I've tried uninstalling Opera, but with no result - it's still there in
/home

So this is a Catch-22 situiation.

How do I clear this loop ?

Advice, please !

Shalom
