Oh, right. Well, it would be an Atheros [168c:002c] then _if_ the manufacturer always installs the same module.
Anyway, best do the most generic test next: Try with the newest daily mainline kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/daily/ to see if the bug is already fixed upstream. (currently 64-bit images are available for the newest daily, for 32-bit the newest is the last natty) I wonder if the bug is power saving related. Does it show only on battery or also when plugged in? Also, when frozen, can you shut down with AltGr+SysRq as described in bug 662288 comment 5 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/662288/comments/5 ) ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/768836 Title: Natty Beta 2 (with 22/4 updates) freezes due to Eeepc 1005p wireless -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
