Can't think of any reason why doubling swap would fix resume from
suspend (hibernate needs swap, but suspend does not). Perhaps you have
natty-proposed enabled and got the new 2.6.38-9.43 kernel from there.
You could check with uname -a to see which kernel you are running.
Anyway, fixed is good :) .
So ethernet does not work with windows either? Anyway you should make a
new bug report about that with ubuntu-bug linux (in a terminal window).
Unless you are sure you have found that exact issue is already filed as
a bug report.
