Hello again varuna! Well, I've tried everything in details and on step 8, 9 and 10 FF asked me to update my password! So let's try to find what's going on with your browser. First of all see if 'private browsing' is turned off, under tools > Start/stop private browsing. (it should show 'Start private browsing' for it to be off). Also ensure that on edit > preferences > privacy > history, that FF wil: 'remember history' (that is similar to private browsing). When you are in private mode none of the informations you enter are saved including your passwords off course. If you chose to clear your history when closing FF or clear recent history manually, it might have the same effect as a private browsing.
Mind that you can only be logged into ONE Google account at a time. Some sites turn the auto-completion off, and there's nothing you can do about it (but this should not be the case of mail.google.com). To get around this problem you might download this add on that allows you to manually edit passwords. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/saved-password-editor/ Does any of this solve your issue? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/807586 Title: Firefox 5.0 Doesn't prompt to Update or Save my Email Password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/807586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
