> (I guess you took care to patch your bootstrap bootloader to ignore uEnv.txt and basically anything coming from the SD?)
u-boot-linaro-omap4-panda-splusb does this - see bug 927956. I couldn't think of any case of using USB booting when the SD card should be used at all, so I think it makes sense for this package to always netboot with no regard to the SD card. > Would this address your use case? Both of these workarounds would work for me assuming that I could get them working. But what about just fixing the bug? Given that flash-kernel (in the installer udeb) already replaces any previous boot configuration on the SD card, why not do it properly and have it replace or move away uEnv.txt as well? Surely this would be a trivial change, not impact anything else and not require a hack to work around? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/961174 Title: flash-kernel fails to override uEnv.txt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flash-kernel/+bug/961174/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
