We are already specialised to overwrite an boot.scr and whatever files might have been called uImage and uInitrd on the SD card previously. The code must already know about boot.scr so is already U-Boot specific. How is adding knowledge of uEnv.txt inconsistent or any kind of special case above what is there already? Surely this will work for all boards that U-Boot supports via this part of flash-kernel-installer?
I agree - it would be better to have flash-kernel-installer reformat the partition. But in the meantime, how about just deleting, overwriting or renaming files that will break the boot? Or, if you prefer, rm -Rf the whole filesystem? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/961174 Title: flash-kernel fails to override uEnv.txt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flash-kernel/+bug/961174/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
