Can reliable reproduce the crash and erroneously dialog when rm _usr_sbin_aptd.0.crash file from /var/crash. After removal of .crash file either run update-manager in a terminal or via dash. Click the check-button results in apport report. When the .crash file isn't removed the crash and so the dialog could be reproduced once again, but not a third or fourth time.
