Folks, I simply erased the configuration forcing the system to create a clean one:
open a console trough : Ctrl+Alt+F1 find X process and kill it: ps -ef | grep X Clear old configuration (all unity configurations will be lost)... I have a really old user account, so, I found 2 different paths: mv ~/.compiz-1 ~/.compiz-1.BROKEN mv ~/.config/compiz-1 ~/.config/compiz-1.BROKEN return to graphic mode: Ctrl+Alt+F7 This solved my login problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982485 Title: [regression] Nvidia 295.40: Unity 3D does not work at all with the new nvidia driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/982485/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
