Hi Christopher,

I was having the issue as late as two days ago and I have upgraded to the
latest kernel:
uname -a
Linux xbmcbuntu 3.5.0-999-generic #201207240436 SMP Tue Jul 24 08:43:51 UTC
2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

As the issue is intermittent, I shall monitor it over the next 4 weeks
(it can happen many times a day or as little as once a month!).

Cheers
Douglas.
